Maintenance
WARNING: Allow only qualified personnel to perform the
following tasks. Follow the safety instructions in this document
and all other related documentation.
This section contains common maintenance procedures for the 25B
pump.
The following instructions must be carried out prior to startup.
1. Clean the fluid filter. Inspect the filter screen. Replace the filter
screen if it is damaged or worn.
NOTE: Use only Nordson solvent chamber fluid. Refer to the
Packing
Gland and Solvent Chamber Fluid Guide
manual.
2. Check the solvent level in the solvent chamber. When the solvent
level has risen about 25.4 mm (1 in.), perform these steps:
a. Drain the solvent chamber by removing the plug at bottom of the
filler cup.
b. Install the drain plug.
c. Fill the solvent chamber with the proper solvent chamber fluid.
3. Lubricate the air valve shifter mechanism with a few drops of oil.
4. Check the flow and level of vitalizer oil in the air lubricator. Use only
Nordson vitalizer oil or equivalent. Refer to your
Adjusting Air Line
Lubricators
manual.
5. If used, drain the air filter/separator. Inspect the filter. Clean or
replace the filter as necessary.
6. Clean the exterior of the system components with a compatible
cleaning material. Do not soak components in solvent.
7. Make sure all system components are securely connected to a true
earth ground.
