NOTE: If new material is incompatible with previously used material, two
complete flushes of system should be made. First flush the system with
solvent or cleaning solution compatible with the previously used material,
then again with a solvent or cleaning solution compatible with new
material.
1.See Figure 4-1. If used, turn the heater (14) off.
2.Remove the siphon rod and strainer (6) from the coating material
container. Close the circulation valve (9) and open the drain-off
valve(8), if used, or trigger the spray gun (11). Start the pump and
run at slow speed until air bubbles appear at the drain-off rod (7) or
spray gun (11).
3.Turn the air pressure regulator knob (4) counterclockwise until it is
backed all the way out and the pump stops stroking. The air pressure
gauge should read 0.
4.Perform

1.If used, turn the heater (14) off 10 to 15 minutes before shutting down
the pump. This prevents material build-up within heater (14).
2.Turn the air pressure regulator knob (4) counterclockwise until it is
backed all the way out and the pump stops stroking. The air pressure
gauge should read 0.
3.Relieve the system hydraulic pressure.
If material contains solids which do not settle out quickly, material may be
left in system overnight. If solids settle out, or if system will not be used
for 24 hours or more, all components of system should be flushed
completely.
Gun nozzles should be removed and cleaned. Fluid filters should be
drained and screens cleaned. Do not leave interior of system open to air.
Leave flush material in system when not in use.
