• Is the LED head lens dirty?
YES Clean the LED head lens.
• NO Are all LED head Assy parts properly connected to the relay PCB (S2H PCB)
and engine PCB (S2V(1200dpi) or
S2X(600dpi) PCB
)?
NO Check the cable connection of the LED and the cable connection between
the relay PCB and engine PCB, then properly connect the cable between
the LED head and engine PCB.
• YES Replace the LED head.
Has the problem been corrected?
YES END
• NO Replace the head shield cable.
Has the problem been corrected?
YES END
• NO Check the cable connection, then replace the engine PCB (S2V(1200dpi) or
S2X(600dpi) PCB
).
Has the problem been corrected?
YES END
• YES Check the cable connection, then replace the Engine PCB (S2V(1200dpi or
S2X(600dpi) PCB). Has operation been restored?
YES END.

NO Is the I/D unit terminal properly connected to the contact Assy? (Refer to Figure 7-3)
NO Properly connect the ID unit terminal to the contact Assy.
• YES Replace Image Drum Unit.
Note! 1. When replacing the Engine PCB (S2V(1200dpi) or
S2X(600dpi) PCB
), remove the
EEPROM from the old PCB, then mount that EEPROM on the new PCB.
2. If the EEPROM is not going to be replaced, refer to Section 5.2.2.
