GLOVE BOX DOOR LATCH
The glove box door is opened by turning
the door knob clockwise. It latches
automatically when closed firmly.
The oval
headed
key will lock the door by turning
the key counterclockwise.
For protection of
the front seat passenger,
the glove box door should be kept in the
closed position whenever the car is in
motion.
LIGHTED VISOR VANITY MIRROR
The lighted Visor Vanity Mirror is available
as an option on your 1974 Oldsmobile.
Th i s e legan t, co nve n ie n ce feature
illuminates automatically when
the mirror
cover
is opened. A switch located at the
lower right hand corner of the mirror
controls the degree
of illumination.
OVERHEAD READING LAMPS
Optional driver and front passenger reading
lamps are located adjacent
to the dome
light. These lamps are individually
activated by switches
in the lamp housing.
They may be adjusted by rotating the
reading lamp outlets.
POWER TRUNK LID RELEASE
The control button, for this optional item,
is located behind the glove box door.
Pushing the button electrically releases the
trunk lid latch and allows the trunk lid to
swing open. The control can be operated at
all times with or without the engine
running. The control works independently
of the conventional key-opening operation

and will not interfere with its function.
Locking
the glove box door prohibits
access
to the trunk lid control should trunk

SIDE MARKER LAMPS
These external lamps, located so they can
be seen
on the side of the front and rear
fenders, light continuously when the
headlights are on to provide better
night-time visibility.
