RemoveandReinstalltheBottomDustCover
The function of the bottom dust cover, which is not
presentonallBH2stands,istopreventdustanddebris
from entering the opening at the bottom of the arm
(where the arm attaches to the base casting) and
foulingthemechanismoftheslidingfocusblock.
Althoughthis
dustcover,ifpresent,doesnotneedtobe
removed to perform the maintenance described in this
document, its removal may be desirable to allow for a
morethorough cleaning of any dust and debris
accumulation in the area of the dust cover, and the
removalprocedureisincludedin
thisdocumentfor the
sakeofcompleteness.
Useasuitable JIS screwdrivertoremovethetwo M2x4
screws securing the dustcover onto the bottom of the
arm casting (see Figure 21).Lift and remove the dust
cover (see Figure 22) and clean any dust and debris
fromthe cover
andfromtheassociatedareaof the arm
casting.Repositionthe dustcoverinplaceandsecureit
tothearmcastingwiththetwoM2x4screws.

RemovetheGuideRailsfromtheFocusBlock
Removethe two short guide rails fromthe side groove
inthefocusblock(seeFigure23).
