Formatting the card [Format]
Cards that have been used in non-Olympus devices,
or cards that are not recognized by the recorder,
must be formatted before they can be used with the
recorder.
To familiarize yourself with the formatting process,
read the steps below.
In terms of formatting, only selected cards can be
formatted, the recorder’s menu settings cannot be
initialized. The initialization of menu items should be
set up through DSS Player or the recorder’s [Reset
Settings].
1 Select [
Device Menu
] at the [
Format
]
screen, then press the
PLAY/OK
or 9
button.

settings.
2 Press the
+
or
–
button to select [
Start
]
option.
3 Press the
PLAY/OK
button to confirm
[
Start
] selection.
4 Press the
+
or
–
button again to select
[
Start
] option.
5 Press the
PLAY/OK
button again to
initiate the formatting process.
• [Format Done] displays when formatting
ends.
