Parity Setting: PTY (Parity Bit)
The parity setting display (PTY) will be displayed if the Down Key ( ) is
pressed from the stop bit setting display (BIT).

This parameter sets the parity to none, even, or odd.
Switch to the
send wait time
setting.
Press the Key to display the parity setting.
The setting can be changed by pressing the
and Keys.

Change the setting with the or Key.
The S8M will automatically return to the PTY dis-
play if no key is pressed within 3 s.
Change the setting with the or Key.
If the Down Key ( ) is pressed from the PTY display, the display
will switch to the send wait time setting display (SWT).
When the Key is pressed, the setting will flash.
When the flashing stops, the new setting will be
saved and the S8M will return to the PTY display.
If you want to confirm the new setting, press the
Key again from the PTY display.
