Names and functions of parts
Unless otherwise indicated, the operations described in
this manual are based on remote control operation. You
can also use the buttons on the unit that provide the
same functions as those on the remote control.
Remote control
Í button: Press this button to turn the unit on or put it
in standby mode.
DISPLAY button: Change the information shown.
DIMMER button: Use this button to switch the
display’s brightness between normal, moderately dark
and dark.
INPUT SELECTOR buttons: Use these buttons to
select the source.
CD button: Use this button to play a CD.
TUNER button: Use this button to listen to the AM/FM
radio. Each time you press this button, the radio
switches between “AM” and “FM”.
LINE button: Use this button to listen to music stored
on an external device through an analogue
connection. Each time you press this button, the input
setting switches among “AUX IN”, “LINE1” and
“LINE2”.
DIGITAL button: Use this button to listen to music
stored on an external device through a digital
connection. Each time you press this button, the input
setting switches between “OPTICAL” and “COAXIAL”.
NET button: Use this button to listen to the Internet
radio or to use your home network.
USB button: Use this button to listen to music on a
USB storage device or iPod/iPhone. Each time you
press this button, the input setting switches between
“USB(F)” (front panel) and “USB(R)” (rear panel).
Pause (;) button
Skip (:/9)/2 PRESET/PRESET 1 buttons
Search (6/5)/2 TUN/TUN 1 buttons
ENTER button: Use this button to confirm menu
selections and setting values.
Direction ( / / / ) buttons
MENU button: Press this button to display the menu.
TONE/BAL button: Use this button to adjust the tone.

Tray open/close (<) button
SLEEP button: Press this button to set the sleep
timer.
Playback (1) button
Stop () button
RETURN button: Press this button to return to the
previous display.
VOLUME (3/4) buttons
MUTING button: Temporarily mutes audio.
REPEAT button
D.TUN/CLEAR button: Use this button to directly
input an AM/FM radio frequency or clear the
characters that you have input.
