Multi-Room Remote Control

In the main room;
1. Press (he MU OKI'' hiillon on the TX-8511 lo make the indi¬
cator go off. (If tile MU Ol’K indicator is lit, Ihe multi-room
system cannot he used.)
2. Press the SPUAKKU.S 1$ hutton to illuminate the .SPUAK-
ICirS U iiulicator.
X Turn Ihe VOLlJMli knob lo its minimum.
In Ihe sub-room, direct the remote control toward Ihe Remote
Sensor (Onkyo nndtt-room system) and:
4. Press the appropriate INPUT SELECTOR button on the
remote control lo select your desired source and start oper¬
ating it.
5. U.se the VOLUME A or T button to adjust Ihe volume to
Ihe desired level.
If (he remote control is used from the sub-room, but the compo¬
nents cannot be controlled, check tile lollovving:
• Use the controls on die TX-8511 in the main room to check
whether it is working properly. Then, use (be remote control to
check whether the component is w orking properly. If it is not,
refer to page b,
• When operating a component not bearing Onkyo's Rl Jack,
check that the emitter is directed toward that component.
• Check that the components are correctly connected.
• Check that the MR Old- indicator on Ihe TX-8511 is not lit.
