Displaying Radio Text (RT)
If the station you are currently tuned into is broadcasting RT
signals, they will be displayed in the front display of the TX-
SR70I E/601E. If the station does not, this function will be ignored.
1. To display the radio text, press the
RT/PTY/TP button once.

• If the station you are currently lis/ening to is not an RDS
sta/ion, only the frequency of the station will appear.
• If "Waiting" appears on the display, more time is required to
receive the RT informa/ion. When the informa/ion is received,
the characters will scroll across the front display.
• lf"No Text Data" appears on the display, RT information is not
available.
• The display shows the frequency for 3 seconds and returns to
program service name.
Performing a PTY scan
1. Press the TUNER input source
button and select the FM input
source.
2. Press the RT/PTY/TP button twice.
The current program type appears Oll the
display.

3. Using the _1/1_buttons, select the
PTY program type you desire.

4. Press the ENTER button.

The TX-SR701E/601E will scan until it
reaches a sta/ion of the program type you
selected. It will then stop briefly at thai
station before continuing on until it
reaches the next sta/ion. Pressing the
ENTER bullon stops the PTY scan a/that
point. If you press the RT/PTYfI'P while
"NONE" is displayed, "PTY ?" will
appear. In this case, return to step 3.
Press the ENTER button when it
reaches the station to which you
want to listen.
"Not Found" will appear when no RDS
signal is being received from the station.

Performing aTP scan
1. Press the TUNER input source
button and select the FM input
source.
2. Press the RT/PTY/TP button three
times.

"[TP]" will appear if the current station is broadcasting TP
signals. 'Ibis sta/ion will periodically broadcast traflic
information. To find a different station, proceed to the next step.
Also, if "TP" is displayed, proceed to the next step.
3. Press the ENTER button.
The TX-SR701E/601E will scan until it
reaches a station broadcasting traftic
information. If "Not Found" appears on
the display, a TP station cannot be located.
