Chips as an indicator
The sawing chips are the best indicator for the correct adjustment of the feed and of the speed of the saw band. Have a look at the chips which you have pro-
duced and adjust the feed correctly.
Thin chips which look like powder.
Increase the feed or
reduce the speed of the saw band.
Burnt, heavy chips.
Reduce the feed and/or the speed of the
saw band.
Gathered, silver and warm chips.
