5.3. Connection between the COMPACT and COMPACT-E units
Use the BUS AUDIO LINK connectors and the BUS CAN contacts to connect the COMPACT matrix to the COMPACT-E units.
For the CAN BUS connection, the use of a twisted pair, shielded AWG24 cable is recommended.
For the AUDIO BUS connection use 34-way flat ribbon with 2x17 IDC connectors, 2.54mm pitch. When assembling the cable, special
care should be taken to place the connectors in the same position and on the same side of the flat tape as shown in Figure 19.
The CAN bus transmission rate between the COMPACT unit and the COMPACT-E expansion units is 500 kbit/s.
