Task 2 Remove the Magazine
Caution: Although the magazine contains cartridge retention
springs, use care while holding or moving the magazine to avoid
dropping cartridges.
1. Grasp the tape cartridge magazine opening with your other hand and pull the
magazine a short distance out of the library.
2. Remove the hex key and store it for future use.
3. Support the bottom of the magazine with your other hand during removal.
4. Pull the magazine free of the library module and set it aside.
Front Control Panel
The front control panel is located on the base module. Figure 3–14 shows the back side
of the panel with identification of the upper tabs, the circuit card jack, and the latches
at the side of the panel.
Caution: The robot, front control panel, and base module chassis are
critical to maintaining the product serial number and customer
settings. When a replacement is needed for any of these CRUs, you
may only replace one CRU during a single power-down cycle.
