VolSafe
A Sun StorageTek feature that provides write once, read many (WORM) technology
to VolSafe-designated tape cartridges. VolSafe only permits new data to be appended
to data currently on the tape. Once written, the data cannot be overwritten.
VTE
Verify To End-of-data.

World Wide Name (WWN)
A 64-bit integer that identifies a Fibre Channel port.
World Wide Node Name (WWNN)
A 64-bit network address that identifies the company (in IEEE format) with a vendor
specific identifier.
World Wide Port Name (WWPN)
A 64-bit network address that identifies the port name.
Write T10 PI (16) command
The Write T10 PI (16) command transfers one or more blocks of data from the host to
tape. After successful completion of a write operation, the tape is positioned after the
last block written. Each block transferred includes user data and protection
information.

A Class 3 Service Parameter used for Recipient Control. It contains one word with 29
bits, and a value of 0.
