6.4.1. Interlocks
The switch, circuit-breaker and earthing switch are
interlocked in accordance with section 5.11. of Standard
IEC 62271-200.
The disconnector driving shafts are accessed via a handle,
and the levers of disconnector and earthing switch can only
be inserted if the circuit-breaker is in open position. The
circuit-breaker can only be operated if all the disconnector
and earthing switch levers have previously been removed.
All electrical operations are overridden if any of the levers
have been inserted in the driving shaft.
The interlocking ensures the circuit breaker can only be
closed when the disconnector or earthing switch are either;
closed, open or closed in earth and the driving handle
removed.
The cable compartment is only accessible with the earthing
switch and the circuit-breaker closed (eective earthing).
