Thestopenginewarninglampwill
illuminate,andanaudibletonewill
sound,whenamajorengineproblem
exists.
WARNING!
Thisshouldbeconsideredan
emergency.Youshouldstopthe
vehicleassafelyaspossibleand
turnOFFtheignition.Theve-
hiclemustbeservicedandthe
problemcorrectedbeforedriving
again.Failuretocomplymayresult
inpersonalinjury,severeengine
damage,equipmentorproperty
damage.
Forengineswiththeengine-protection
shutdownfeatureenabled,the
stopenginelampwillbeginto
ash30secondsbeforetheengine
automaticallyshutsdown.The
warninglampalertstheoperatortothe
impendingshutdown.
Thelampwillalsoilluminatewhenthe
DEFtankisalmostemptyorthesoot
levelintheDPFisatfullcapacity.At
thislevelwarning,regenerationcannot
beperformedandenginepowerwill
bederated.
Enginemayautomaticallyshutdownif
thecheckenginelampandstopengine
lampareilluminatedandtheoperator
doesnotcorrectthecondition.
