WARRANTY
Limitations
Yoursoleandexclusiveremedy
againstPACCARandtheselling
dealerarisingfromyourpurchaseand
useofthisengineislimitedtothe
repairorreplacementof“warrantable
failures”atauthorizedUnitedStates
andCanadianPACCARengine
dealers,oranauthorizedCummins
Distributor,oranauthorizedPACCAR
enginefacilitywhereapplicable,
subjecttoPACCAR'stime,mileage,
andhourlimitationsoftheengine
warranty.Themaximumtime,mileage
andhourlimitationsoftheengine
warrantybeginrunningonthedate
ofdeliverytotherstpurchaser.The
accruedtime,mileage,orhoursis
calculatedwhentheengineisbrought
intoanauthorizeddealerforcorrection
ofwarrantablefailures.
PACCARisnotresponsiblefor
failuresordamageresultingfrom
whatPACCARdeterminestobe
abuseorneglect,including,butnot
limitedto:damageduetoaccident;
operationwithoutadequatecoolantsor
lubricants;overfueling;overspeeding;
lackofmaintenanceoflubricating,
coolingorintakesystems;improper
storage,starting,warm-up,run-inor
shutdownpractices;unauthorized
modicationsoftheengine.PACCAR
isalsonotresponsibleforfailures
causedbyincorrectoilorfuelordiesel
exhaustuidorbywater,dirtorother
contaminantsinthefuel,oil,ordiesel
exhaustuid.Failureofreplacement
partsusedinrepairsduetotheabove
non-warrantableconditionsisnot
warrantable.
Thiswarrantydoesnotapplyto
accessoriessuppliedbythevehicle
OEMwhicharecoveredbytheOEM
vehiclewarranty.
Failuresresultinginexcessiveoil
consumptionarecoveredforthe
durationofthecoverageor250,000
miles(402,336kilometers)or6,250
hoursfromthedateofdeliveryofthe
enginetotherstpurchaser,whichever
ofthethreeoccursrst.Beforea
claimforexcessiveoilconsumption
willbeconsidered,Ownermustsubmit
adequatedocumentationtoshow
thatconsumptionexceedsPACCAR
publishedstandards.
Failuresofbeltsandhosessuppliedby
PACCARarecoveredfortherstyear
fromthedateofdeliveryoftheengine
totherstpurchaser.
PACCARdoesnotwarrantantifreeze,
lubricants,lters,lterelements,or
anyotherpartwhichisconsidereda
maintenanceitem.
Partsusedtorepairawarrantable
failuremaybenewparts,approved
rebuiltparts,orrepairedparts.
PACCARisnotresponsiblefor
failuresresultingfromtheuseofparts
notapprovedbyPACCAR.Anew
