Preparing for crane operation
Preparing for remote operation
The battery is in the remote control (remains in the remote control until it is fully discharged).
Spare battery remains in the building or near the crane.
In workman basket operation the operator must take the spare battery with him in the basket.
Only place a fully charged battery in the remote control;
Have the control cable available on the crane.
Remote control safety shutdown
The remote control handset is automatically switched off in the event of:
Radio interferences.
Exceeding of the maximum radio range.
The battery is empty.
Any crane function was not operated for more than 5 minutes. A PALFINGER service partner can
individually set the period.
To be able to continue working, the remote control handset must be restarted.
Danger! Working with a defective remote control handset creates an
acute risk of fatality for the operator and others.
Have any defective remote control handset immediately replaced by a PALFINGER service partner.
Cable operation
A 15m long cable is supplied with each system. This cable must be connected to the transmitter and
the receiver. During cable operation no radio signals are transmitted, because cable operation has a
higher priority than radio operation. When the battery is inserted it will be automatically charged as
well.
The emergency cut-off on the handset may have been pressed, but the receiver must be switched on.
