Chapter 7 Preparing for crane operation
Unfolding the crane
Danger! There is acute danger to life for operators and others, and
device and auxiliary components may get damaged if the steps are not
carried out in the given order.
Always carry out the steps in the correct order.
The crane is in transport
position.
With the 'Lift main boom’
function put the main boom in
nearly vertical position
between 60° and 70°.
However, do not move it to its
upper limit stop.
Connect the lower load block
or workman basket to rope
thimbles.
Actuate the function ‘Unfold
outer boom’ to put the outer
boom in horizontal position.
The crane is ready for operation.
