Load handling close to the crane using rope winch or long lifting gear
Lift the load with the extension booms as far as possible retracted (1, 2).
Put the boom at an angle between 70° and 80°.
If necessary extend the hydraulic extension booms.

At a boom position higher than 60°
abrupt crane movements;
overstretching of outer boom or fly-jib boom
can lead to excessive deflection of the boom system (to side and/or rear).
Consequently the load may fall down. This creates an acute risk of
fatality for the operator and others.
When working above 60°, pay particular attention to the stated load limits.
Increasing the lift angle and height may result in side loading of the boom system. The overload
protection system is unable to monitor this type of loading.
Therefore pay particular attention to
working within the range shown in the load capacity chart;
smooth crane operation;
