Each supervised input can be in four different states:
Open circuit (cut-off)
Not activated (quiescent)
Activated
Short-circuit
Depending on the selected logic, Normally open (high resistance) or
Normally closed (low resistance), the following table is valid.

7.1.2.1 Input line fault
If open circuit (cut-off) or short-circuit is detected on a supervised
input, a fault will be generated in EBL128 and the following fault
message will be displayed:
FAULT: Programmable input
alternatively
FAULT: Programmable input x exp. board x
