Using the Spot AF
You can record a subject focusing on a single
part with a smaller focus area than usual. This
setting is particularly suitable to focus on the
eye when you take portrait photos.
[Preparation]
• Set the operational mode dial and REC mode
dial. (P25)

Press the [MENU] button.

Press 3/4 to select [SPOT AF].

Press 2/1 to set to [ON].

Press the [MENU] button.
• The menu will disappear.

Center the subject in the spot AF
area.

Take a picture.
• The recording method is the same as in
“Taking Pictures (AUTO Mode)”. (P29)
• In AUTO [ ] or motion image [ ] mode, it is not possible to record with the spot AF.
