Preparation
Restrict battery consumption

If you perform no operations, the camera
turns off automatically after the interval
you set.

Press the shutter button halfway or
restart the camera to cancel.
Power save is xed to [5 MIN.] in
intelligent mode [ ].
This function is not activated in the
following cases.
When connected to the PC / printer
While recording / playing back motion
pictures
While performing slide show
AUTO LCD OFF
LCD monitor is turned off automatically
while the camera is not in use for the set
time. (in recording mode only)

The status indicator lights while the LCD
monitor is turned off. Press any button to
turn on the LCD monitor again.
This function is not activated in the
following cases.
While a menu screen is displayed
While the self-timer is set
While recording motion pictures

AUTO REVIEW
Adjust how long the recorded picture
automatically appears on the screen.

HOLD
ZOOM
When [HOLD] is selected, the picture
remains on the display. Press [MENU/
SET] to cancel.
When [ZOOM] is set, the picture is
displayed for 1 second, then at 4 × zoom
for further 1 second.
AUTO REVIEW works even if set to
[OFF] in [AUTO BRACKET], [BURST] or
[HI-SPEED BURST]. However, [HOLD]
and [ZOOM] are disabled.
You can not change settings in
[AUTO BRACKET], [BURST], [SELF
PORTRAIT], [HI-SPEED BURST] and
motion picture modes [i].
Fixed to [2 SEC.] in Intelligent mode [ ].

NO.RESET
Set this when you want to start the le
number of the picture from 0001 on the
next recording.
The folder number is updated, and the
le number starts from 0001.
The folder number can be assigned from
100 to 999. When the folder number
reaches 999, it cannot be reset. We
recommend formatting the card after
saving the data on a PC or elsewhere.
To reset the folder number to 100, you
must rst reformat the built-in memory or
the card. After this perform [NO.RESET]
to reset the le number, after which a
screen appears asking whether you want
to reset the folder number. Select [YES].
Press [
] to display menu, enter the setup menu [ ] and select the item. ( P20 )
The setting marked “q” means it is the initial setting.
