The radio
Improving reception
DVD recorders and DVD players can interfere with radio
reception. Turn the DVD recorder and the DVD player off or
move it further away from the AM loop antenna if this occurs.
Manual tuning
On the remote control (Direct tuning) On the main unit

Select “TUNER ”.
Press

Select “TUNER FM ” or “TUNER AM ”.
Turn

Select “FM ” or “AM ”.
Press and hold for 2 seconds.

Tune to the station.

Automatic tuning
Hold down [TUNE 2 or 1] until the frequency begins
to scroll. Tuning stops when a station is found. (Tuning
may stop if there is interference.)

Enter the station frequency.
Press
e.g. 107.90 MHz, Press [1] → [0] → [7] → [9] → [0]
• If you do not press a button while the cursor is
flashing, the display returns to the frequency being
received.
• If the frequency has not been input correctly,
“ERROR ” will be displayed.
•“TUNED ” is displayed when a station is tuned.

” is displayed when a stereo FM broadcast is tuned.

AM allocation
If the correct AM frequency cannot be tuned in, change the
frequency step to suit your area.
Preparation:Press [-MENU, –SETUP, RETURN] to enter
the menu.
1 Select “TUNER
” and confirm the setting.
2 Select “AM STEP ” and confirm the setting.
3 Select “9 ” or “10 ” and confirm the setting.
4 Press [-MENU, –SETUP, RETURN] 2 times
to select “EXIT ” and press [ENTER].
