Function Reference
You can choose from the following two autofocus modes. The default
setting is [l (Single mode)].
Set [AF Mode] in the [A Rec. Mode] menu (p.98).
Setting the AF Mode

Single mode
When the shutter release button is pressed halfway to
focus on the subject, the focus is locked at that position.
k
Continuous
mode
The subject is kept in focus by continuous adjustment
while the shutter release button is pressed halfway.
• Settings cannot be changed in Picture mode (p.47).
• k (Continuous mode) can be set when the mode dial is set to e, b, c
or a. The autofocus mode is set to k in \ (Moving Object) of Picture
mode.
