NOTE
New
bearings
are
prelubricated,
additional
lubrication
is
not
required
and
should
not
be
used.

REMOVING
DRIVE
PULLEY.
The
drive
pulley
is
an
interference
fit
on
the
rotor
shaft.
The
pulley
is
removed
with
puller
C-3934.
The
use
of
this
puller
set
to
remove
the
pulley
will
prevent
damage
to
the
pulley.

REMOVING
DRIVE
END
BEARING.
The
drive
end
bearing
is
an interference
fit
on
the
rotor
shaft.
It
is also
retained
in the
end
shield
by
a retainer.
The
retainer
is
of
spring
steel
construction
and
three
integral
fingers
snap
over
a shoulder
on
the
end
shield.
Remove
the
drive
end
shield
from
the
bearing
by
removing
either
the
three
retaining
nuts
from
the
retainer
studs
or
by
unsnapping
the
spring
retainer
fingers
with
a screwdriver.
The
end
shield
may
then
be
removed
by
tapping
on
the
end
of
the
rotor
shaft
with
a soft
hammer
while
holding
the
end
shield.
Remove
the
drive
end
bearing
from
the
rotor
shaft
with
puller
C-3615
and
special
adapters
as
follows:
A.
Position
the
center
screw
of
tool
C-3615
on
the
rotor
shaft.
B.
Place
the
thin
lower
end
of
the
adapters
SP-3375
under
the
bearing
equally
spaced
