THREE PHASE WYE
(STAR) SYSTEMS
Figures 2.5.4a to 2.5.4d provide wiring diagrams for 4 and 3
wire Wye system configurations.
For a 4 wire Wye system, the 3300 ACM senses the line-to-
neutral (or ground) voltage of each phase and current of
each phase, making for an equivalent 3 element metering
configuration.
If the power system to be monitored is equal to or less than
347/600 VAC, the 3300 ACM can be used for direct sensing
of each phase, without the need for PTs.
The wiring diagram for these voltage ranges is shown in
Figure 2.5.4a below. VOLTS MODE should be set to 4 WIRE
WYE.
