1.2 Removal and Installation Guidelines
Use the following guidelines to prepare for removing or installing transformers T1
and T3:
· Before beginning the removal or installation of the transformers, read and
understand this manual.
· Use the procedures and illustrations in the following chapters to create a logical
plan for performing the required procedures.
· Refer to the UPS Installation and Operation Manual referenced in the
Introduction, for UPS cabinet handling and unpacking instructions.
· Choose a removal o r installation work area that provides adequate space for
access to the front and rear of the cabinets. In addition, space must be allowed
for the fork lift truck to gain access to the rear of the cabinet and removal of the
transformer.
· Failure to follow guidelines may invalidate UPS warranty.
1.3 Preliminary Operational Checks
Once Transformers T1 and T3 have been reinstalled, preliminary operational
checks and startup must be performed.
NOTE: Startup and operational checks should be performed only by authorized
service personnel only.
