Procedure 7.4 - Replacing a Lower or Upper Interconnect Cable
Procedure
Note: Before you install a new interconnect cable, ensure that the interconnect cable is
defective. Refer to Procedure 6.1.
1. Set the on/off switch in the off position.
2. Pry the end cap out the front of the frame base tube with a thin bladed screwdriver (See
Diagram 7.6).
3. Carefully withdraw both cables and mid-point connector.

4. If you are replacing the upper interconnect cable skip to step 9. If you are replacing the
lower interconnect cable continue with step 5.
5. Remove the left and right rear cover sections. On serial codes DF and SK, remove the two
screws that fasten the lower PCA mounting bracket to the frame. See Diagram 7.4. Rotate
the lower PCA mounting bracket to expose the interconnect cable. Disconnect the
interconnect cable from the lower PCA.
