Operating the 2 / 4 Hour Start Up Timer Mode
The system has the ability to start the vehicle every two (2) or four (4) hours
for a forty-eight (48) hour period. This feature is especially useful in cold
climates where the only means to keep the engine and engine uids warm is
to periodically start the engine. The default setting is four (4) hours.
WARNING!
Be certain that the vehicle is outdoors before using this or any remote
starting device. A running engine produces dangerous carbon monoxide
fumes which can be harmful or fatal if prolonged exposure occurs. DO NOT
remote start the vehicle if it is garaged.
To congure 2 / 4 hour start timer mode:
1. Press and hold the valet button.
2. Cycle the vehicle’s Ignition ON/OFF one (1) time.
• To set for 2 Hour (default) - Press the valet button two
(2) times. The Parking lights will ash two (2) times for
conrmation.
• To set for 4 Hour (default) - Press the valet button four
(4) times. The Parking lights will ash four (4) times for
conrmation.
To activate the 2 / 4 hour start timer mode:
1. Start the vehicle and let it run for more than fteen (15) seconds.
2. Cycle the vehicle’s Ignition to the OFF position.
3. Press and release the
button on the remote four (4) times.
The vehicle’s parking lights will ash four (4) times to conrm the timer mode
is activated.
To exit the 2 / 4 hour start up timer mode:
• Remote start the vehicle using the remote control.
• Start the vehicle normally using the Ignition key.
