4 MODBUS COMMUNICATION (DS600PC Only)
4.1 Serial Interface
The Modbus serial protocol is a Master-Slave protocol where the DS600PC operates as a
Modbus slave that communicates with the master when a request is received. The DS600PC
operates in RTU transmission mode with its electrical interface in accordance with the EIA/TIA-
485 standard in a two-wire (half duplex) configuration at 38400 bps. The unit has a male M12
connector for connecting it to the bus. The interface is electrically isolated from all other power
and returns connected to the DS600PC unit.
