Belt set exchange and tensioning
Important
NOTICE!
The belts must be replaced as a set, even if only one of them seems worn.
Procedure
1.Loosenmotorhold-downbolts(3).
2.Loosenthebelttensionbyscrewingbolts(4)equallyandtakeoffthebelts(1).
3.Installnewbelts.
4.Tensionthebeltsbyscrewingbolts(4)equally.
Thetensioniscorrectifthedeectionisbetween5mmand7mmwhenexertinga
forceof25Nonthebeltmidwaybetweenthepulleys.Makesurethatthepulleys
remainaligned.Themaximumout-of-lineis:
•Maximumparallelout-of-line:0.5mm
•Maximumangularout-of-line:0.5degrees
5.Tightenbolts(3).
6.Checkthebelttensionaftertherst500runninghours.
Cleaning the compressor element
CAUTION!
• Compressor element cooling channels can be hot when the compressor has just been
turned off.
• Do not clean the cooling channels with organic solvent since this will damage the
surface treatment.
Thepurposeofcleaningthecoolingchannelsofascrollelementistopreventthe
coolingchannelstosiltupandassuchreducethecoolingefciency.Areducedcooling
efficiency can lead towards a premature compressor element failure.
