3.SelectTransducersSet-up.
4.SelectContinue.
Theinstrumentdisplaywillsearchforanddisplay
alistofconnecteddevices.(i.e.iTC-5,DSTor
transducerpod)
5.Selectthedevicethatthetransducer(s)youare
calibratingareconnectedto.
Alistofavailabletransducerdataisdisplayed,
6.*SelectSpeed.
Important:*SteponlyapplicabletoiTC-5.
7.SelectCurrentTemperatureoption.
8.Useasuitablethermometertomeasurethe
actualwatertemperature.
9.UsetheUpandDownbuttonstomatchthe
displayedWaterT emperaturetotheactualWater
Temperaturemeasuredbythethermometer.
10.SelectSavetosavethesetting.
7.4Windcalibration
Calibratingwind
•Youwillneedtobeunderway,withsufcientspace
toturninalargeslowcircleunhindered.
•Conditionsshouldbecalm(i.e.aslightsea)and
asteadybreeze.Trytoensurethevesselisnot
rollingorpitchingtoomuch.
Fromafavoritepage:
1.SelectMenu.
2.SelectSet-up.
3.SelectTransducersSet-up.
4.SelectContinue.
Theinstrumentdisplaywillsearchforanddisplay
alistofconnecteddevices.(i.e.iTC-5,DSTor
transducerpod)
5.Selectthedevicethatthetransducer(s)youare
calibratingareconnectedto.
Alistofavailabletransducerdataisdisplayed,
6.*SelectWind.
Important:*SteponlyapplicabletoiTC-5.
7.SelectCalibrateWindXdcr.
8.Keepthevesselspeedbelow2ktsandobserving
thescreen,starttoturnthevesselinacircle,
thenselectStart.
9.Continueturningthevesselincirclesuntil
Completeisdisplayedon-screen.
Ifyourrateofturnistoofastduringcalibration,
aSlowDownmessageisdisplayed.Ifthis
happens,reduceyourrateofturnthiscanbe
achievedbyslowingdownand/orsteeringin
awidercircle.
10.SelectContinue.
11.IfrequiredusetheUPandDOWNbuttonsto
manuallyadjustthevaneoffset.
12.PressSELECTtocompletethecalibration
processandsavethesettings.
Ifrequiredyoucanmanuallyadjusteachpartofthe
calibrationstepsbyselectingtherelevantoptions
fromtheWindmenu.
Aligningthewindtransducer
•Youwillneedtobeunderway,withsufcientspace
toturninalargeslowcircleunhindered.
