Alistofavailabletransducerdataisdisplayed.
3.SelectRudder.
4.SelectAdjustRudderAngle.
5.UsetheUpandDownbuttonstoadjustthe
pointersothatthepointerandthereported
RudderAnglesarebothzero.
6.SelectSave.
InvertingtheRudder
Ifthedisplay’sRudderPointermovesintheopposite
direction(i.e.whenyouturntheRudderstarboard
thepointermovesport)thiscanbecorrectedby
invertingtheRudder.
Fromthetransducersfoundpage:
1.Ensurethattherudderiscentred.
2.SelectiTC-5.
Alistofavailabletransducerdataisdisplayed.
3.SelectRudder.
4.SelectInvertRudderAngle.
5.Ifthepointerispointedintheoppositedirection
thanthatexpected,selectInvert.

YoucancalibrateaFluxgateCompassthatis
connectedtoaniTC-5.
Thecompassmustbeconnectedtothecompass
connectionoftheiTC-5.Compassesconnected
toanautopilotmustbecalibratedusingaPilot
Controller.
SwingingtheCompass
Youwillneedtoturnyourvesselinslowcircleswhile
thesystemautomaticallymakesadjustmentsto
accountforCompassDeviation.Each360-degree
circleshouldtakenolessthantwominutes,andyou
shouldcompleteatleasttwocircles.
Itisrecommendedthatasecondinstrumentdisplay
orMFDisusedtodisplayheadingdata,whilst
performingtheCompassSwing.
Fromafavoritepage:
1.SelectMenu.
2.SelectSet-up.
3.SelectTransducersSet-up.
4.SelectContinue.
Theinstrumentdisplaywillsearchforanddisplay
alistofconnecteddevices.(i.e.iTC-5,DSTor
transducerpod)
5.SelectiTC-5.
Alistofavailabletransducerdataisdisplayed,
6.SelectCompass.
7.SelectSwingCompass.
8.Startmovingvesselinslowevencircles,then
pressStart.
9.Keepvesselspeedtobelow2knots.Watchthe
displaytoensureyourturnrateisnottoofast.If
themessage‘SlowDownturnratetoofast’is
displayedreduceyourrateofturn,thiscanbe
achievedbyslowingdownand/orsteeringin
awidercircle.
Ifthe'SlowDownturnratetoofast'message
isdisplayedthecurrentcirclewillhavetobe
repeated.
WhentheCompasshasbeencalibrated,a
messagewillbedisplayedshowingthedetected
CompassDeviation.
10.Ifthedeviationisgreaterthan15degreesyouwill
needtorelocatetheCompassfurtherawayfrom
