Anurgencycallshouldbeusedwhenthereisdangertoavehicleorpersonthatdoesnotrequire
immediateassistance.Urgencycallsaretransmittedtoallstations.
FromtheAllshipscallmenu:Menu>DSCCalls>Allshipscall.
1.SelectUrgency.
2.Selectthechannelforsubsequentcommunication.
Thecallistransmitted.Oncethecallhasbeensuccessfullytransmitted‘Sent’isdisplayed
onscreenandthechannelischangedtothespecifiedchannel.
3.PresstheOKbutton.
4.Pressandholdthe
PTTbuttonandspeakthefollowingmessage:
PANPAN,PANPAN,PANPAN
ALLSTATIONS,ALLSTATIONS,ALLSTATIONS
Thisis—MMSIofyourvessel,nameofyourvesselrepeated3times,callsignofyourvessel.
Position—Y ourvessel’sposition.
Reasonforcall—Statethereasonforthecallandincludeallinformationwhichwillassistin
therescue.
