safe to contin ue, press

to start the Auto Learn maneuvers:
• the boat will start a series of zigzag turns and the display will show
LEARNING
with a numb er to indicate the current AutoLearn stage
• this num ber will increase as AutoLea rn progresses
• typic ally , the Au toLearn will be complete within 7 to 27 steps (depending
on boa t characteristics an d sea conditions)

5. When the SmartPilot has finished learn ing, the control ler will beep and will
displa y either
LRN PASS
or
LRN FAIL

LRN PASS
= AutoL earn completed succ essfully
•
LRN FAIL
= AutoLearn was not successful, so should be repeated. A fail
ure code will al so be displayed:

= Auto Learn has not been carri ed out
2
= Auto Learn failed, due to m anual interru ption
4
= Auto Learn failed, prob ably due to drive or com pass failure
6. Press and hold the
standby
k ey for two seconds to store the new setting s.
Y our Smart Pilot is now fully calibrated and ready for use.
The only additional setting you may need to adjust is the response level (see your
Operating Guide
for more infor mation).
