The fuel type might be incorrect or not mixed properly, so replace it with the correct type and mixture. Other potential causes include a loose spark plug (tighten it), worn or damaged cylinder/piston rings (replace them), a leakage between the cylinder and crankcase (replace the cylinder base gasket), a carburetor needing adjustment, dirt in the carburetor or fuel line (clean them), a dirty fuel filter (clean or replace it), or a crankcase leakage (replace the seal ring).
