7.12.2 To clean and examine the fuel filter
1. Remove the fuel tank cap.
2. Use the fuel filter hook to pull out the fuel hose (A)
and the fuel filter (B) from the fuel tank. Refer to
Servicing tools on page 9
.
3. Examine the fuel hose for cracks and leaks.
4. Clean the fuel filter with a brush. Replace the fuel
filter if it cannot be cleaned fully.
5. Make sure to put the nozzle (A) into the fuel hose
(B) fully.
6. Make sure that the snap ring (C) is attached
correctly.
7. Put the fuel filter and fuel hose into the fuel tank.
7.12.3 Fuel tank cap
The fuel tank cap cannot be repaired. If the engine stops
after a short period of time or if the O-ring on the fuel
tank cap is damaged, the fuel tank cap must be
replaced.
7.13 Harness frame
7.13.1 To remove and install the frame
1. Remove the fuel hoses from the carburetor.
2. Disconnect the throttle cable.
3. Remove the nuts on the lower vibration damping
system.
