Premature opening of the compartment could cause a re-
fl ash. When opening the engine compartment for inspec-
tion have hand held portable extinguishers ready.
Inspect the pressure gauge and system before and after
each outing. Refer to the maintenance chapter for caring
for your fi re extinguisher system.
The illustration opposite shows the actuator not discharged
at the top and one which has been discharged at the bot-
tom. Manual pull is located starboard of the helm seat.
