Lancets and Lancing Device
• Lancets are for one-time use only. Use a new lancet
each time you monitor.
• Discard your used lancet properly. Put it in an
empty puncture-resistant container, such as a
plastic milk carton or detergent bottle.
• Never share your lancing device or lancet with
another person.
Applying the Blood Drop to the
Test Strip

Touch the blood drop to the
white area at the end of the test
strip. The blood is drawn into the
test strip.
Note: If the monitor shuts off before you apply
blood to the test strip, remove the test strip from
the monitor and try again.

Continue to touch the blood drop to the
end of the test strip until the monitor begins
the test. The monitor begins the test when:
• You hear the beeper, if the beeper
is ON.
• The display window shows the
status bar.
• Then the display window shows
the countdown.
Note: Do not remove the test strip
from the monitor or disturb the test
strip during the countdown.
