DIESEL INJECTION
Leak flow from injectors: Check
K9K, and 834

a Connect the four transparent hoses of the tool (Mot.
1771) on the diesel injectors in place of each union
of the diesel injector fuel return rail.
a Insert these hoses in the four graduated measuring
cylinders (12) of the tool (Mot. 1711).
a Refit the clip of the intercooler air outlet pipe.
a Clip the intercooler air outlet pipe on the damper val-
ve.
a Connect the turbocharger pressure sensor connec-
tor.
a Refit the clip of the turbocharger air outlet pipe.
a Clip the intermediate air pipe between the turbochar-
ger and the intercooler onto the turbocharger air out-
let pipe.
II - CHECKING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Connect a self-contained starter.
a Force the vehicle's + after ignition feed.
a Connect the diagnostic tool.
a Run commands:
-RZ009 Vehicle function programming,
-VP036 Inhibit fuel supply.
a Run the starter for 15 seconds.
a Check that the injector return volume is greater than
or equal to 20 ml.
a Repeat the starting phase twice, allowing an interval
of 30 seconds between each starting phase.
a Run command VP037 Stop fuel supply inhibition.
a Disconnect:
-the diagnostic tool,
- the self-contained starter.
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Remove the clip from the turbocharger air outlet pi-
pe.
a Move the intermediate air pipe between the turbo-
charger and the intercooler away from the turbo-
charger air outlet pipe.
a Disconnect the turbocharging pressure sensor con-
nector.
a Remove the clip from the intercooler air outlet pipe.
a Move the intercooler outlet air pipe to one side.
a Always replace:
- the turbocharger air outlet pipe seal,
- the intercooler air outlet pipe seal.
a Remove:
- the turbocharger air outlet pipe seal,
- the intercooler air outlet pipe seal.
a Disconnect the four transparent pipes of the tool
(Mot. 1771) from the diesel injectors.
a Connect the diesel injector fuel return rail unions to
the diesel injectors.
a Refit:
- the injector rail protector,
- the injector rail protector cover bolts.
a Clip the injector rail protector cover into place.
a Refit:
- the new seal of the turbocharger air outlet pipe in
the turbocharger air outlet pipe,
- the new seal of the intercooler air outlet pipe in the
intercooler air outlet pipe.
a Clip on the damper valve wiring.
a Refit the clip of the intercooler air outlet pipe.
a Clip the intercooler air outlet pipe on the damper val-
ve.
a Clip the turbocharger pressure sensor cable on the
intercooler air outlet pipe.
a Connect the turbocharger pressure sensor connec-
tor.

Check that the unions of the fuel return rail are
correctly connected.
