PREHEATING
Heater plugs Removal - Refitting

II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
a Disconnect the connector (8) from each heater plug.
a Clean around the outside of the heater plugs with a
compressed air nozzle to prevent any impurities
from entering the cylinders.
a
a Unscrew the heater plugs (9) using a 10 mm long ra-
dio socket connected to a universal joint or a hinged
wrench for heater plug.
a Use a hose to unscrew the heater plugs completely
(9) .
a Remove the heater plugs.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Without tightening, fit the heater plugs using the ho-
se.
a Torque tighten the heater plugs (15 N.m).
a Connect the connector for each heater plug.
II - FINAL OPERATION
a Refit the injector rail protector cover.
a Clip:
- the injector rail protector cover,

Wear goggles with side protectors for this opera-
tion.

Note:
If the heater plugs are seized, use the tool for
removing heater plugs (see Heater plug remo-
val tool: Use) (Technical Note 5197A, 06A, Too-
ling).
