In order to congure rmware updates, proceed as follows:
1. In the main menu DeviceCong, select the submenu General.
2. On the Firmware update tab, in the Automatic update query enabled?
input eld, select Ye s .
3. Enter the Update URL.
Factory setting: http://www.vbus.net/api/update.
4. Click Saveconguration.
The message Congurationsavedsuccessfully! appears.
Note
Only change the rmware update URL if required, and consult the system
administrator before doing so!
If a rmware update is available, it will be displayed after the login in the Login
successful window.
1. Click on Click here to proceed.
2. In order to start the update process, click on Click here to download.
The update le will be downloaded.
3. Unzip the le.
4. In order to install the update, click on Upload.
5. Select the upload lermware.cborand click on open.
The update le will be loaded.
Î In order to run the update, click on Install update.
Î If you do not wish to run the update, click on Discard update.
If the update has been installed, the device will restart.
If the automatic update query has been deactivated, you can query for updates
manually.

2. On the Firmware update tab, click on Query for updates now.
Updates available will be displayed under Firmware.
8.8 Carrying out a VBus

In order to make sure that the controller connected can be recognised and read
out to its full functional extent, VBus
®
specication updates are made available on
the Internet.
The update can be carried out over the Internet or via a computer connected to
the device.
If the device is connected to the Internet, it will nd and upload the update le
automatically.
1. In order to carry out the update, click Install update.
2. In order to carry out the update, conrm the following dialogue by clicking Ye s .
When the update has been installed, the device restarts. It is necessary to log in
again.
An update can also be installed via a computer connected to the device.
In order to carry out the update, proceed as follows:
1. Download the vbus_specication.cbor le onto the computer.
2. In order to upload the update le, click on Upload.
3. Select the update le and conrm the selection.
After the upload has been completed, the update le appears in the Web interface.
