After you replace the LD unit, adjust its position (see Replacement and Adjustment).
The thermistor next to the laser unit (not shown) checks the temperature inside the machine. The machine
automatically corrects the charge roller and transfer voltages for this temperature.
Automatic Power Control (APC)
The LD driver on the LD drive board automatically controls power for the laser diodes. The laser diode
power is adjusted in the factory.
• Never touch the variable resistors on the LD unit in the field.
