e TechMate Pro is equipped with the ability to diagnose Mercury Racing’s 2.5L
EFI system. is system incorporates an ECM produced by Fuel Management
Systems (FMS) and is capable of providing a variety of diagnostic information to
the scan tool.
Connecting to the 2.5L Hi Performance ECM
Connection of the scan tool to the Hi Performance ECM requires the use of
adapter #94013 as shown below. Be sure the engine’s ignition switch is in the
OFF position before proceeding with the following steps.

1) Be sure the engine is turned OFF.
2) Locate the data link connector as shown above. (ECM is shown with cover
removed, data link connector is accessible without removing cover.)
