is system type applies to two and three cylinder 25HP, 30HP, 40HP, 50HP and
60HP carbureted 4-stroke engines produced by Mercury between 1998 and 2005.
Many of these models were equipped with a 24 pin ECM that provided spark
control and automatic fuel enrichment functions. is system was equipped with
a coolant temperature sensor, crank position sensor, oil pressure switch as well as
a small number of output devices (solenoids, etc...).
e scan tool provides access to the ECM’s sensor and status data, no fault codes
are used or available from this system type.
