8.1 INSTALLATION CHECK TEST
Once installation of the system is complete you may perform an “Installation Check” test� This takes approximately
11 minutes and conrms correct functionality of the I Series Coolers. To initiate the “Installation Check” please do
the following:
1� Isolate main power (240V) to the I Series Coolers�
2� Remove control panel cover and locate the red dip switches on the main control board�
3� Change red dip switch from factory Run Setting “1,0,0,0” to the Installation Functional Test setting “0,1,0,0”�
4� Place control panel back onto unit�
5� Turn main power back onto the I Series Cooler and the “Functional test” will start automatically and proceed
through the following sequence:
a) Motorised - WinterSeal will open�
b) Each fan individually cycles for 10 seconds�
c) When the last fan motor turns off the water inlet solenoid will open� At this point marginally open the
bi-directional gate valve to allow a small amount of water to enter the system and ll the tank. This is to
relieve any air locks that may be present in the water supply line�
Once water can be seen or heard entering the I Series Cooler, fully open the bi-directional gate valve to
allow tank to ll.
d) When high level is reached the Motorised - WinterSeal will close, the solenoid will close, and drain pump
will run for 2 minutes�
e) When the drain pump turns off the Motorised - WinterSeal will open, all fans will come on and run for 6
minutes to dry the pads�
f) After the fans turn off the Motorised - WinterSeal will close�
g) The “Functional Test” is now complete, isolate power to the unit, change the dip switch position back
to the Run Setting “1,0,0,0” for one wall control. If multiple wall controls are installed refer to the zoning
section of this manual for the dip switch position�
6� If the water does not drain from the tank check the following:
a) The pump discharge elbow assembly is connected to the discharge pump�
b) The pump discharge elbow assembly is discharging into the primary drain outlet�
c) The primary drain has continuous fall�
8.2 OTHER COMMISSIONING CHECKS TO CONSIDER:
•
Motorised - WinterSeal is not catching and opens fully�
•
Isolating valve on the water supply is gradually turned ON to expel any air within the braided hose�
•
The water tank lls with water and the water inlet valve closes when the tank is full.
•
There is no foreign matter in the water tank or fan housing�
•
The Cooling Pads are correctly in position�
•
The pump operates when turned ON at the Wall Control�
•
The fan operates through the entire speed range�
•
The water distribution is even with the Cooling Pads in position at the Cooler in operation�
•
The “Acoustic Cooling Chamber – Top” is secured correctly�
•
The water drains completely from the tank and that any external drain piping is not blocked or restricted�
•
The Safety Tray drains correctly�
