– New selection Write Nonvolatile Memory: If it is set to disable, no data will be
written to the mass memory storage of the device.
– New selection User Interface: If it is set to disable, the display and the
keyboard of the R&S® SMA100A is locked. To unlock enter the security
password.
● LAN Services:
– New selection Software Update: If it is set to disable, the remote update via
LAN is disabled.
● Network Settings:
– New parameter DNS Suffix
– New parameter DNS Server
● RF Frequency Sweep, Level Sweep and LF Frequency Sweep:
– New parameter Retrace (only for sweep mode Single or Extern Single)
Modified Functionality
● The settings for instrument emulations are moved from the dialog Setup Remote
Channel Settings to the new dialog Setup Instrument Emulations
● Improved display update repetition rate
● For level values less than -120 dBm, the message “Level under range” appears.
● The folder /var/sma to save user data is not supported anymore and will be deleted
by the update process. All data stored in /var/sma will be moved to /var/user/.
Please use the folder /var/user to save user data in the future.

Fixed Issues
● R&S® SMA-B20 and R&S® SMA-B22: If FM modulation with Lf Gen 2 and shape
Square is active, the error message “Synthesis extension: Overvoltage at external
modulation input detected” appeared.
● In rare cases, the error message “Verify failed during reading eeprom data from
device” appeared.
