PRECAUTIONS
:
* Wear rubber apron while working at battery
charging.
* Use only constant battery charger of correct
charging rate.
* Never remove the filler cap seals, till you
are ready to charge the battery. Hydration
may occur when atmospheric air contacts
the plates.
*
Keep
the
filler
caps
removed
while
charging.
* Use only distilled water to top up the level
after the initiaLcharging.
*
During
charging,
the
electrolyte
temperature should not exceed
45QC
if
necessary, discontinue the charging to cool
the electrolyte.
* Ensure that the batteries are kept on a non-
metallic surface while charging.
* Keep fire and spark
away
from battery
charging area . .
* Be sure to connect the long vent tube to
the battery. While fixing it to the motorcyle
route it correctly.
* Avoid the running the mqtorcycle without
connecting the battery.
CHARGING
INT/AL CHARGE :
ELECTROLYTE :
Dilute sulphuric acid with distilled water to
a specific gravity of 1.240
PREPARATION:
* Take required distilled water in a glass /
plastic container
* Slowly, add sulphuric acid to it.

It is important to ensure that the sulphuric
acid is added into the distilled water and
not vice versa. Stir and check the specific
gravity of electrolyte and add sulphuric acid
will the specific gravity becomes 1.240
* Stir with a glass rod
