TROUBLESHOOTING
OPENING THE DRAWER
IN
AN EMERGENCY
Pull
the
drawer opening lever located at
the
bonom
of
the
cash register
to
open the drawer
In
an
emergency such
as
a
power
lallure
or
cash register malfunction.
CASH REGISTER MALFUNCTION
If
the
cash register does not seem
to
be
woiXlng correctly, check
the
following possible causes:
1.
Has
the
power
to
the
cash register been cut?
Is
the
cash register stili correctly plugged
Into
the
power sourca7
2.
Is
the
control lock set
to
the
lock position?
Was
the
control lock switched
to
another position before a register
operation was
fully
completed?
3.
Was
the
cash register used Incorrectly. resulting
In
an
operational error?
PERFORMING A HALF SYSTEM
CLEAR
You
may
be
able
to
clear a problem
by
doing a half system clear,
as
follows: set the control lock
to
the "PRG" posl·
tion; disconnect the cash register from the power source; plug back
into
the power source.
PERFORMING A FULL SYSTEM
CLEAR

the half system clear does not correct the problem, try a full system clear. Set the control lock to the
PRG
posi·
tlon; disconnect the cash register from the power source; plug back into the power source while holding the CLEAR
key
down. A full system clear eliminates all programming within the cash register.
Following
a full system clear, the
cas0 register must be reprogrammed.
